Refashioned shirt

I went to the thrift store awhile back and found this shirt.

It is a white shirt with very pretty white/blue daisy detail along the edges. It had no stains and I thought this would be a very pretty and simple dress to make for my daughter. I didn't really need to add much. I just cut the sides to fit my daughter and added elastic on the sleeves.

Also added elastic with casing around the waist.

Here is the finished dress.

  1. This is a great refashioning! Almost makes me wish I had girls to sew for. Really creative.

  2. Hey, my friend just posted a tutorial for her tutus like Ellie's costume was last year. I don't know what you're are making for J for Halloween, but you might want to use this as part of it http://igotdibbs.blogspot.com/2009/09/tutu-how-to.html Cute shirt dress.
