Isn't this just the cutest room! Everything is so cute and tiny and look at that quilt. Amazing. When I saw this post from V and Co. I just fell in love with that quilt. It is so bright and cheery! I wanted to make one like it but I saw all those pinwheels and was intimidated. Luckily V and Co. has a tutorial on how to make pinwheels on her website. Thank you. So I went ahead and dove right in and started my pinwheels.
I bought cute fabric.

cut them up at 5"x5" each.

sewed them up using the pinwheel tutorial from V and Co.

And voila!

Only half way done!

Wow, you are amazing...you just whipped that up! It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine is in the middle of making this same exact quilt/pattern. I love it! I'll have to try it too.
ReplyDeleteLana you are awesome! Look at that quilt!!! I'm going to have to try this too. And I did see this room before...it is so cute. Where do you buy your fabric?
ReplyDeleteAnalia - thanks! I bought my fabric at a local quilt shop. I usually go to the back where they have them on discounts. I bought 10 fat quarters for $10.00 (they are usually about $2.75 each). Or you can buy them precut (40 squares) for $8.00. I think I am going to buy it at $8.00 next time. That gave me about 8 squares (4 pinwheels) cut for each fat quarter. So that is 40 pinwheels for my quilt. About a lap size quilt. I am debating whether I should add white blocks in between each pinwheel to make it bigger. Hmmmm.... The hardest part is sewing everything exactly at 1/4 inch seam or they won't match up with each other. Good luck! I would love to see how yours go.
ReplyDeleteah look at your super cute pinwheel quilt! great job!!!!!
